OUR
JANUARY SPEAKERS
NO MEETING
– New Year's Day
Ralph White, author
of Getting
Out of Saigon, was just 27
when he was asked to close the Saigon office of Chase Manhattan,
and get the bank's employees and their families safely out during
the fall of Saigon in 1975. Join us to hear what he and his
colleagues went through to save lives in those final days of the
war.
Cheryl Capitani,
Library Director, New
Canaan Library, will share how today's library is
much more than a repository for books. Capitani will review the
variety of events and classes the library offers to all ages. She
will be joined remotely by Ellen Crovatto, Library CEO, for our
Q&A discussion.
William
Tong, Attorney
General of Connecticut, will discuss
the work of his office and some of the high-profile legal
proceedings he and his office have pursued.
Thomas Graham,
author of Getting
Russia Right, will discuss US-Russia
relations. As a foreign policy expert, Graham has spent years
tracing the history and evolution of our relations, from the
post-Soviet era to the present. He has also looked ahead to how
relations may change once Putin is gone.

JUST
KIDDING!
As I've grown older, I've noticed companies are
putting lids on jars much more tightly.
I went to the grocery store to buy a bunch of
seedless grapes. When I got home there were no grapes in my
bag. But there was a box of Oreos. Now, how did that get
there?
Patient: "Ya
see, Doc, obesity runs in my family."
Doctor:
"No! The problem is nobody runs in your
family."
Diet
tip: If you think you're hungry, you might just be
thirsty.
Have a bottle of wine, then see how you feel.
We came from dust and we shall return to dust.
Hey, that's why I don't dust... it could be someone I knew.
